Investigation of the Anti-Corrosion Properties of Fluorinated Graphene-Modified Waterborne Epoxy Coatings for Carbon Steel

Waterborne epoxy resin (WEP) has been widely used as an anti-corrosive coating for metals. However, it is still a big challenge to further improve its anti-corrosion performance due the poor barrier properties corrosive media. In this study, fluorinated graphene (FG) was filler in WEP properties, which contributes corrosion resistance enhancement. The chemical composition and microstructures of FG FG-modified were systematically analyzed, also studied. Results reveal that addition sheet not only can significantly tensile strength coating, but increase block penetration agent throughout interface between substrate. Meanwhile, results declare F content significant effect on mechanical long-term resistance, will deteriorate with content.
